Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an Area Human Resources Manager to partner with store leadership across multiple Iowa locations. You will drive recruiting, onboarding, payroll processing, employee relations, and compliance to build a supportive, productive workplace.

You will collaborate with Store Directors and HR leadership to ensure consistent practices, data analysis, and retention initiatives while maintaining Hy-Vee’s people-first culture across the region.

Qualifications

• Build relationships with employees and leadership, communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Interview, counsel, and advise employees and managers with professionalism and discretion.
• Compile and analyze HR data to inform decisions and planning.

Responsabilités

• Deliver prompt, friendly service to employees and managers across multiple store locations.
• Manage full talent acquisition process including sourcing, drug testing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding.
• Counsel management on performance reviews, scheduling, benefits, wages, and employee relations matters.
• Handle investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee issues and conflicts.
• Coordinate longevity and retention programs and transfers between stores.
• Process payroll and manage adjustments including special pay and missed raises.
• Prepare wage and employment verifications and serve as Insurance/Leave of Absence Coordinator.
• Record and follow up on Workers Compensation claims and accident reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
