Job summary

Crawford Mechanical Services, a Quantum Industrial company, is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate pay.

This office-based role partners with Operations, HR, Benefits and Finance to verify time, process payroll in Rippling, maintain compliance, reconcile payroll and resolve employee questions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll experience, CPP/FPC is a plus, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience
• CPP/FPC certification is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field
• Experience with multi-state payroll and payroll tax compliance
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle, multi-state payroll processing through Rippling.
• Verify time data and approvals from Operations.
• Review time data for regular hours, overtime, PTO, etc.
• Import data into Rippling and review payroll reports before submission.
• Audit payroll registers and reconcile to GL.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Administer deductions, benefits, garnishments, and payroll changes.
• Ensure timely payroll tax withholding and filings.
