Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support day-to-day payroll operations. You will process biweekly/semi-monthly runs across multiple U.S. states, assist with onboarding, and help maintain compliance including state wage rules and deductions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in payroll, familiarity with Rippling and HRIS platforms, and strong Excel skills. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy while handling confidential data and employee

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience (multi-state a plus).
• Familiarity with payroll/HRIS platforms such as Rippling and NetSuite.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail for confidential data.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly/semi-monthly payroll runs across multiple U.S. states using Rippling.
• Onboard new hires into the payroll system and handle edge cases.
• Review timecards and escalate non-compliance with documentation.
• Maintain compliance across ~19 U.S. states, U.K., and EOR jurisdictions.
• Reconcile payroll data across systems for accurate GL postings.
• Administer benefits and deductions; respond to payroll inquiries.
• Support data cleanup and reporting for data warehouse initiatives.
• Keep audit-ready payroll documentation organized.
