Job summary

Heritage Building Maintenance is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process biweekly payroll through Rippling with precision and timeliness. You will manage time reports, garnishments, benefits administration, and compliance across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate has payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to self-manage while collaborating with HR to improve processes. This is a full-time exempt role with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Payroll processing experience required; Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll platform preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry.
• Ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Strong organization and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Comfortable using multiple platforms/systems.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance preferred.
• Cost-conscious mindset and process improvement.
• Independent work style with HR/leadership collaboration.
• Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately via Rippling.
• Validate and reconcile time/attendance; resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain employee data across platforms with high accuracy.
• Administer garnishments, bonuses, commissions, mileage reimbursements.
• Manage benefits-related payroll deductions and enrollment data.
• Create tracking spreadsheets for hours, payments, and compliance.
• Respond to payroll inquiries professionally.
• Maintain payroll records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state payroll regulations.
• Collaborate with HR/management to improve processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
