Job summary

ZT Automotive Group is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Manager to own the payroll and benefits functions across the company, including multi-state payroll and multiple legal entities. The role is hands-on and supervisory, leading a team of payroll and benefits administrators and coordinating with store Controllers and the executive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years in payroll and benefits administration with hands-on ownership of both.
• Multi-entity, multi-state payroll experience.
• 2+ years supervising payroll and/or benefits staff.
• Knowledge of FLSA, multi-state wage/hour laws and year-end reporting.
• ERISA, 125, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA reporting knowledge.
• Experience open enrollment cycles from start to finish.
• Reconciling carrier invoices and enrollment records.
• Hands-on configuration in an HCM platform across payroll/benefits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete payroll cycle for 18 rooftops and multiple pay groups.
• Administer health, welfare, and retirement plans across the group.
• Lead payroll and benefits onboarding for newly acquired stores.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll/tax requirements.
• Collaborate with store Controllers and executive team on payroll/benefits.
