Qualifications

• 1+ years of harvest floor or meat processing experience preferred.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting.
• Willingness to learn knife handling and develop skills on the job.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely and in accordance with animal welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep floor equipment in good working order.
• Keep workstations, walls, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
• Follow HACCP protocols and food safety requirements.
• Support barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as skills develop.
• Assist with general sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup procedures.
