United Future in Mansfield, OH is seeking a Harvest Floor Operator for our multi-species processing facility. The role involves performing all phases of the harvest process, from stunning to trimming, and maintaining humane handling of livestock in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site position requires physical stamina and strict adherence to HACCP and safety standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the 1st shift with pay ranging from $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of harvest floor, slaughter, or meat processing preferred.
• Motivated applicants without direct experience may be considered if eager to learn.
• Must be physically capable of standing, lifting heavy loads, and working in hot/cold/damp conditions.
• Able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely in accordance with animal welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep harvest floor equipment in working condition.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
• Follow HACCP protocols and food safety requirements.
• Support barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as skills develop.
• Assist with sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup procedures.
