Job summary

Harvest Floor Operator – Multi-Species Processing in Mansfield, OH is seeking an experienced team member for the harvest floor. The role involves all phases of the harvest process across beef, pork, lamb and goat, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of harvest or meat processing experience, be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and read/write English. Pay ranges from $20 to $30 per hour on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of harvest floor, slaughter, or meat processing experience preferred.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and working in hot, cold, and damp conditions.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all phases of the harvest process including stunning, bleeding, skinning, eviscerating, splitting, and trimming.
• Handle livestock humanely and in accordance with animal welfare requirements.
• Trim, wash, and weigh carcasses to meet quality and compliance standards.
• Maintain knife sharpness and keep harvest floor equipment in proper working condition.
• Keep workstations and harvest floor clean and sanitized at all times.
• Follow HACCP protocols and food safety requirements without exception.
• Support barn duties including weighing, feeding, and watering livestock as skills develop.
• Assist with general sanitation and end-of-shift cleanup procedures.
