Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, AL invites motivated healthcare learners to join our team as a patient care technician. You will assist patients, take vital signs under supervision, and support clinical staff in daily tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean rooms, assisting with basic respiratory care, EKGs, chest X-rays, and venipuncture, while developing hands-on skills in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations to perform functions of job such as patient identification, determine weight and vital signs, etc.
• Four to six weeks on the job training to acquire the skills necessary to perform job functions.
• Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients, visitors and hospital personnel.
• Require knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures and techniques.
