Job summary

Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC) is seeking a dedicated healthcare assistant to support physicians in direct patient care and maintain high standards of quality.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and a minimum of one year in a healthcare setting; specialized training of one to two years is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a clinic setting.
• Specialized technical training of one to two years preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
• Skill in taking vital signs; maintaining records and recording test results.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
• Ability to read, understand and respond to detailed oral and written instruction; communicate clearly and maintain quality control standards.
