Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Process Mechanic - Multi‑Skilled to join our Plant Engineering team in Collegedale, TN. You will maintain and support production equipment, perform setups and changeovers, and troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, fabrication, and plumbing tasks.

This on‑site role requires safety focus, GMP adherence, and the ability to work extended hours on a Sunday-Thursday third shift, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety and GMPs.
• Clear, effective communication at all levels.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands‑on experience.
• Proficient with power and hand tools, measuring instruments.
• Willing to work extended hours and alternate shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment setups and changeovers for production and supplemental equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures in a multi‑skilled environment.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and assist with electrical troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to Production teams.
• Rebuild and refurbish equipment and components on a routine basis.
• Modify equipment to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Operate tools, vehicles, and computer systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain records in the MAXIMO CMMS.
• Communicate downtime/status with teams and departments.
• Ensure work supports GMPs and food safety.
