Job summary

McKee Foods Corporation in Collegedale, TN, is seeking a Process Mechanic to join our Plant Engineering team. You will maintain and support production equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance, setup and changeovers, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, fabrication, and plumbing disciplines.

You will perform equipment changeovers, diagnose failures, provide technical support to Production, rebuild and modify equipment for performance, and ensure GMPs and food

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMPs with emphasis on food safety and product purity.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical experience.
• Clear and consistent communication skills with employees at all levels.
• Willingness to work extended hours or alternate shifts as needed.
• Proven safety practices and dependable work history.
• Proficiency with PC-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support production equipment through corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Perform equipment setups and changeovers for production and supplemental equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures in a multi-skilled environment.
• Provide technical support to Production teams.
• Rebuild and refurbish equipment and components on a routine basis.
• Modify equipment to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Operate tools, vehicles, and computer systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records in MAXIMO CMMS.
