Job summary

Pinnacle Living's Cedarfield community in Virginia is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform repairs and preventive maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, vo-tech training preferred, and a minimum of three years in maintenance. On-site with on-call rotation; valid VA driver's license required; benefits include health insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High-school education or GED equivalency required.
• Vo-tech training or specialized training courses in associated fields preferred.
• Minimum three years’ experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair required.
• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license and meet Pinnacle Living risk management requirements to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• As assigned by management or by work order -- installs, maintains, or repairs a wide variety of building features per policies and procedures.
• Performs trades in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc., and supports preventive maintenance with records.
• Assists other maintenance staff to complete tasks in a timely fashion.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports repair needs; conducts daily rounds and reports to supervisor.
• Acts as on-call maintenance person during scheduled times.
• Attends safety meetings and trainings; follows safety procedures.
• May be assigned to landscape maintenance and snow removal.
