Job summary

Garden Estates of Corpus Christi is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to uphold building and grounds through routine tasks and special work orders. The role reports to the Maintenance leadership and requires basic repair abilities, safety awareness, and reliable service to residents.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, preparing apartments for move-in, and performing various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, ensuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects including plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Maintains office, shops, storage, and mechanical areas to SSMG standards.
• Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• May provide transportation services for residents.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through prevention of accidents and preservation of equipment.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
