Job summary

Corpus Christi Housing is seeking a Maintenance Aide to perform basic repairs and maintenance across our properties in Corpus Christi, TX. The role is an introductory full-time position requiring minimal specialized skills and offering hands-on work with building hardware, plumbing, electrical, and painting tasks.

You will assist in unit make-ready, document daily reports, and comply with safety and confidentiality requirements while supporting residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Twelve (12) months experience in a related maintenance position.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
• Reliable transportation to get to and from work.
• Ability to work after hours and on holidays/weekends as required.
• Participation in on-call rotation duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs simple repairs of structures and equipment.
• Maintains repairs, installs doors, windows, and screens as directed.
• Execute service calls with basic plumbing, electrical, and painting work.
• Install and adjust building hardware such as hinges, hasps, and locks.
• Install devices integral to plumbing systems and move appliances as needed.
• Operate hand-guided or electric equipment and assist in daily reports.
• Perform unit cleaning for occupancy and maintain safety practices.
