Job summary

The Town of Flower Mound is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of building upkeep tasks including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, generators, bay doors and painting. You will monitor electronic control systems and support preventive maintenance programs.

Applicants should have a GED, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years of commercial building maintenance experience; trade school or HVAC training is preferred. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work with all levels of staff.
• Over two years of commercial building maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade school or HVAC training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems.
• Repair and service generators, bay doors, and lighting fixtures.
• Troubleshoot complex building systems including alarms and access controls.
• Monitor computerized control systems and respond to service requests.
• Coordinate with vendors for bids, quotes and materials.
• Adhere to safety and department policies.
