Job summary

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join the Maintenance & Facilities Department. You will install, service, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, respond to emergencies, and operate forklifts and aerial lifts.

This full-time role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, pass a background check, and work at least one weekend day. The Zoo offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required with 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in at least two of the listed trades (Plumbing, Electrical, Welding, Carpentry, Diesel engines).
• Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms and maintenance requests.
• Operate forklifts and aerial lifts; use gauges and instruments and record data.
• Maintain buildings and assist with diverse facilities tasks as needed.
