Job summary

Fort Worth Zoo is seeking a maintenance technician to assist electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction and general facility upkeep across the campus.

You will perform routine tasks, operate standard tools, work a flexible schedule including weekends, and help ensure safe, clean, and efficient operations for staff and guests.

This is a full-time on-site position requiring the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 90 pounds, with opportunities to contribute to a wide range of facility projects.

Qualifications

• Teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends.
• Valid driver license with acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Assist trade workers by performing routine tasks
• Perform tasks with physical strength and agility
• Maintain a neat, safe work area and complete work safely according to standards
• Report to work as scheduled and adapt to project schedules
• Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Follow basic verbal or written instructions
