Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician in Richmond, VA to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. This role sits within Engineering and Technical Services, providing support and repairs on equipment and systems.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and basic MS Office skills. You will work under supervision to follow defined procedures and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed for repairs.
• Work with available systems to manage and track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Deliver output by following defined procedures under close supervision.
