Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day farm activities across multiple sites in Iowa.

You will lead staff, ensure safety and SOPs, manage schedules, and monitor production targets while upholding Seaboard Foods' commitment to animal welfare and sustainability.

A two-year degree or 1–2 years swine experience is preferred, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a two-year college or tech school preferred; or 1–2 years swine production experience.
• Ability to read and interpret English safety files, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, developing a competent workforce with hands-on training and feedback.
• Perform audits of the farm to ensure SOPs are followed and facilities are in good condition.
• Maintain accurate records of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm.
• Ensure health and safety of employees and animals; submit detailed reports and track feed/ration staging.
• Manage controllable costs including supplies, labor, and medications; create and manage employee work schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods, providing constructive and timely feedback, and offering opportunities for individual growth.
• Perform audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm
• Ensure health and safety of employees and animals at the facility, submit detailed reports, and track feed and ration staging for animals
• Manage all controllable cost, including supplies, labor, medication, etc.
• Creating and managing employee work schedules if applicable

QUALIFICATIONS

• An Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or 1-2 years of swine production experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish skills are preferred.
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
