Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Iowa Falls is seeking a Farm Operations Supervisor to plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day farm activities and staff across multiple sites to meet production targets.

You will train employees, perform audits, and maintain records while ensuring health and safety of people and animals. The role includes cost management and scheduling in a hands-on production environment tied to Prairie Fresh pork.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1-2 years swine production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret English documents and write routine reports.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures, develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods, providing constructive and timely feedback, and offering opportunities for individual growth.
• Perform audits of the farm to ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies on the farm
• Ensure health and safety of employees and animals at the facility, submit detailed reports, and track feed and ration staging for animals
• Manage all controllable cost, including supplies, labor, medication, etc.
• Creating and managing employee work schedules if applicable

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: The details listed below are the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to perform this role. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.

• An Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or 1-2 years of swine production experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish skills are preferred.
• Clear motor vehicle record (MVR)
