Job summary

Securitas Security Services in Springfield, IL is hiring a Multi Site Security Officer (Part Time) to provide professional security and excellent customer service across client sites.

The role requires vigilance, conflict resolution, and strict adherence to post orders. A drug screen and background check are required during the hiring process. Driving may be required with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois.
• High School Diploma or GED or willingness to complete GED within six months.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently and remain calm in stressful situations.
• Must have professional demeanor and ability to respond to emergencies with good judgment.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen and background).
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required (driver certification).
• Reliable communication device (cell phone).
• Must have legal right to work in the United States.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois.
• Have a High School Diploma or GEDorbe willing to complete the GED program within six months.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required (this position will include driver certification).
