Job summary

Colonial Group in the United States is seeking a Safety Assistant Section Manager to support the Safety Section Manager, mentor corporate safety coordinators across facilities, and drive continuous improvement in safety and health programs.

You will lead safety audits, help implement corporate safety initiatives, investigate incidents, and ensure consistent application of standards across manufacturing operations while coordinating with corporate safety and plant leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AS/BS in Occupational Safety and Health preferred.
• 3+ years in industrial/manufacturing with supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with OSHA and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing and implementing Corporate Safety Programs and Initiatives.
• Periodically audit plants for compliance with safety programs and rules.
• Review and revise corporate safety procedures and forms.
• Ensure plants meet training requirements for a safe environment.
• Facilitate corporate safety audits and track corrective actions.
• Report safety trends and follow up with plants on open actions.
• Establish Safe Operability Review Programs across plants.
• Investigate OSHA complaints/citations and implement new safety programs.
