Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Roving Maintenance Engineer for a Thousand Oaks, CA site. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain central plant systems across multiple buildings, traveling as needed to support operations and ensure reliable performance.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in maintenance, a high school diploma, and a willingness to work varying shifts. Familiarity with BAS/CMMS and basic IT skills are expected; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1-3 years of troubleshooting, mechanical or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; ability to travel regularly between sites
• Foundational mechanical knowledge; use of common hand tools; interpret equipment conditions; perform routine maintenance
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to respond to short-notice assignments and emergency coverage needs
• Basic computer proficiency, including Building Automation Systems (Maximo/BAS) and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures across all facilities
• Conduct routine and preventive equipment rounds and inspections with accurate documentation
• Operate, monitor, and maintain central plant systems (filters, RO, water treatment)
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical, mechanical, and control system issues across multiple buildings
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and lifecycle
• Respond to service calls, alarms, and emergencies with timely resolution or escalation
• Travel between buildings to support operations as needed
• Collaborate with site teams, vendors, and management to ensure consistent service
• Maintain audit-ready work areas and equipment standards
