Job summary

Jones Street is seeking a Floating Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across multiple apartment communities. The role requires traveling between properties to respond to service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with unit turns.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of residential maintenance experience, strong trade skills, and a valid driver’s license. EPA Universal Certification is preferred or obtainable; flexibility and reliability are essential for this

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

Travel between properties, between Union House (Framingham, MA) and Ashford Crossing (Shrewsbury, MA), five days a week.
Perform general maintenance and repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repair.
Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with apartment unit turns, including make-ready repairs and inspections.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future repairs.
Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors.
Provide on-call or after-hours emergency maintenance support as required.
