Job summary

AvantStay is seeking an Area Manager to oversee all daily operations for our New York market properties, coordinating with maintenance, housekeeping and operations teams. You will supervise staff, manage owner relationships, and ensure guest satisfaction while meeting strict deadlines.

The role requires travel within the designated area, with on-call availability after hours and a compensation package including base salary and bonus, PTO, and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of property management experience with multi-site locations
• 2+ years in people management
• 2+ years in homeowner relations
• Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule
• Ability to spend majority of the time standing, walking, and driving to properties
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop and lift >25 lbs
• Ability to perform light maintenance tasks
• Strong self-management and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Directly supervising and managing market staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with property owners and communicating status
• Overseeing guest/homeowner issue resolution to meet timelines and satisfaction
• Maintaining AvantStay standards and metrics for owner satisfaction
• Coordinating housekeeping and routine maintenance across properties
• Collaborating with teams to evaluate maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping operations
• Performing essential administrative duties and delegating tasks as needed
• Ensuring inventory levels of consumables and linens in the market
• Conducting regular property inspections for compliance
• Responding to guest and homeowner inquiries via email, calls, texts, Slack, and tickets
• Traveling daily to properties within the area for oversight and compliance
• Being available on-call after-hours for market support
