Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Float Pharmacy Technician in the Tampa area. The role supports all functions of the mental health pharmacy, primarily dispensing prescriptions and clerical tasks under direct pharmacist supervision. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch.

Location at 12512 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL; coverage extends to New Port Richey, Clearwater, St. Pete, Lakeland, and Winter Haven.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US driver's license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Cover all sites in the Tampa area and nearby locations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic staff.
• Fill prescription orders and verify under pharmacist supervision.
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Process wholesaler medication orders and maintain inventory.
• Verify stock and enter data to keep records up to date.
• Assist pharmacist with pharmacy functions and compliance.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain professional communication.
