Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Supporting Area Manager to oversee operations across multiple Charlotte-area sites and travel as needed. The role involves coordinating between first and second shifts, typically 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with scheduling adjusted for operational needs.

You will drive performance metrics, build and mentor teams, and partner with leaders to address service issues while maintaining safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage, train and develop a team.
• Experience interacting with databases (MS Access).
• Data entry and meticulous record keeping.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional working relationships.
• Experience managing multi-task operations.
• Ability to implement policies and procedures.
• Experience preparing and/or maintaining schedules and staffing levels.
• Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain operational standards, performance metrics, and program execution across all assigned client fulfillment centers.
• Maintain a strong client relationship through consistent communication, responsiveness and follow through.
• Identify service gaps and implement best practices to improve operational consistency and delivery.
• Develop leaders and team members to build capability in client expectations and service standards.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to develop action plans that address service issues and resolve client escalations.
• Support cost control efforts by monitoring operational practices and helping to identify opportunities for profitability.
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture by ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
• Deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) in accordance with client contractual requirements.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
