Job summary

Great Lakes Bay Health Centers is seeking a Network Specialist to monitor and maintain our campus and clinic networks. You will manage LAN/WAN connectivity, Wi‑Fi health, VPN services, and security configurations across multiple sites, ensuring high availability and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in network operations or related field.
• Experience with switches, wireless networks, and WAN circuits in a multi-site environment.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and change control processes.
• Healthcare IT experience preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA security and healthcare compliance requirements.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Network Monitoring and Incident Response across LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN.
• Support Cisco switching and routing, Meraki wireless and switching operations.
• Maintain network diagrams, IP/VLAN records, and backups; document changes.
• Assist with security operations, policy reviews, and access controls.
• Execute approved changes during maintenance windows and coordinate outages.
• Create basic automation, scripts for log collection, inventory validation, or configuration checks.
