Greater Family Health in Elgin, IL is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant. The role involves preparing patients, performing basic tests, assisting with lab work, and educating patients on procedures.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, completion of a MA program (or six months MA experience) and CPR/BLS. CNA license accepted if MA training is not complete. Travel to NW Suburbs sites is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or six months MA experience.
• Active CNA license is acceptable if MA training is not completed.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Certification in Medical Assisting preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily setup, stocking, and cleaning of clinical areas and equipment.
• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare for exams and treatment.
• Label and process laboratory specimens for testing and requisitions.
• Perform CLIA waived testing, EKGs, injections/immunizations as directed.
• Provide patient education on tests and procedures.
• Retrieve results and submit for provider review.
• Travel to other sites as needed and be prepared for shifts at multiple locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Formation

High School Diploma or GED

Medical Assistant program completion

Active CNA license

CPR/BLS Certification

Registration or Certification in Medical Assisting
