Job summary

Thrive Communities in Seattle is seeking a full-time maintenance professional responsible for groundskeeping, housekeeping and make-ready tasks across communities.

You will perform routine maintenance, oversee preventative work, coordinate repairs with supervision, and contribute to a positive resident experience. The role requires willingness to be on call and to operate between two sites; a valid driver’s license and own tools are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Groundskeeping and housekeeping and common area cleaning duties each day, creating excellent curb appeal.
  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
  • Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
  • Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and happy resident base.

Salary:

$24 - $26 per hour


Schedule:

Full-time; Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm with some shared on-call responsibilities as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Must be willing to be on call for after-hours emergencies

  • Can operate vehicle on premise and has valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage

  • Willingness to walk or drive between two sites as needed

  • Supplies their own tools


Physical Requirements


  • This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimated 60% - 100% of time is spent on feet.

  • Occasional need to type, write, & grasp (working at a computer and answering phones)

  • Estimated 60% - 100% need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder

  • Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs - 75lbs and be on your feet a majority of the day
