Job summary

Flaherty & Collins Properties is seeking a Multi-Site Maintenance Technician to address and resolve maintenance tasks across multiple properties within a central region in Indianapolis. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold the physical integrity of communities and apartment homes, ensuring a comfortable environment for residents and staff.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ year of maintenance experience, ideally in multifamily housing.
• EPA/HVAC certification desired; CPO or CAMT certification is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Great communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to stay organized while working across multiple locations.
• Comfortable using technology, including maintenance software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks across multiple properties within a central region.
• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, systems, and building components.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building operations.
• Maintain and service property equipment such as HVAC systems, generators, landscaping tools, and more.
• Respond to emergencies (water leaks, power outages); participate in rotating on-call responsibilities.
• Prepare apartment homes for new residents by completing make-ready tasks.
• Document maintenance activities, service requests, repairs, and parts used.
• Manage inventories of tools, supplies, and spare parts.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance requests with onsite property teams.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment while following all regulatory guidelines (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing).
• Performs snow and ice removal.
• Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned
