Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Mult i-Site Maintenance Supervisor in the Bellevue area to oversee maintenance across communities, manage a budget, and ensure a high standard of living for residents. The role may require after-hours availability and coordination with managers and contractors.

You will supervise technicians, implement preventive maintenance, and coordinate with stakeholders to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3+ years in property management or related experience.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for onsite operations (golf carts).
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing and appliance repair; aware of environmental/industrial hazards.
• Able to read, write, and speak English; strong organizational skills; supervise 2+ associates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of maintenance technicians; assign tasks and ensure quality work.
• Manage personnel lifecycle from selection to performance management and training.
• Implement and manage a preventive maintenance schedule for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Perform and oversee repairs; respond to and prioritize resident work orders.
• Conduct regular property inspections; ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
• Work within budget; participate in forecasting with Community Manager or General Operations Manager.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and contractors for large projects within budget.
• Maintain customer service quality with residents, vendors, and departments; handle after-hours emergencies.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities in SightPlan and trackers; provide updates to management.
• Assist with property improvement projects; perform other duties as needed.
