Job summary

ALTA VISTA INNOVATION HIGH SCHOOL is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator to act as Administrator in the school’s absence, collaborating with staff to design, deliver, and maintain programs. Reports to the Principal or designee.

You will support site leaders, coordinate student support, and ensure effective operations across East LA and Watts locations, with travel between sites as needed. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Teaching experience or school counseling background desired.
• Bachelor’s Degree required for this role.
• Valid California teaching credential with English Language Authorization OR California PPS credential required.
• Project management, program development, organizing and coordinating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with student information systems (SIS) and educational apps; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support leadership of staff in assessing learning-center needs and objectives.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate on-site student support and enrichment programs.
• Supervise personnel and coordinate professional development opportunities.
• Coordinate communications and community relations; ensure safety and program success.
• Assist with adherence to federal/state laws and district policies.
• Coordinate data collection and evaluation for ongoing planning.
