Job summary

Alta Vista Innovation High School is seeking a School Social Worker to provide leadership and support to the Learning Center, in collaboration with the School Counselor, across Adelanto, Apple Valley, and Hesperia. The role includes developing programs, policies, and services to improve student achievement and well-being.

The position focuses on emotional and behavioral support, crisis intervention, and family engagement, with travel between campus locations as needed to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work required.
• Valid California PPS Credential with Specialization in School Social Work required; CWA preferred.
• Experience coordinating comprehensive support systems to students and delivering mental health interventions in academic settings.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess academic barriers affecting student adjustment across home, school, and community.
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff on behavioral-emotional issues.
• Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students; deliver school-based therapeutic services.
• Coordinate and deliver school-based therapeutic services and crisis intervention as a site team member.
• Support professional development and collaborate with school counseling teams to meet community needs.
