Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitorial Area Manager to supervise cleaning operations across multiple customer locations in the Baton Rouge area. This hands-on leadership role involves guiding janitorial teams, scheduling, maintaining quality standards, and building strong customer partnerships.

You will visit sites regularly, manage staffing within budgets, and lead training and performance reviews to ensure consistent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business-level English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Strong customer service, active listening, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial operations and employees across multiple customer locations.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach and develop janitorial team members.
• Visit assigned customer sites regularly to ensure service and quality standards.
• Build relationships with customers and resolve service concerns.
• Manage employee schedules and staffing within labor budgets.
• Lead safety training and new-hire orientation.
• Review performance and create development plans.
• Identify opportunities for additional services within accounts.
• Maintain operational documentation.
