Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitorial Area Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple customer locations in the Indianapolis area. This hands-on leadership role requires visiting sites, managing teams, and ensuring high service standards across locations.

The position supports staffing, scheduling, and quality control with a focus on building strong customer relationships and delivering consistent, reliable janitorial services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Strong speaking and writing English skills; clear communicator.
• Proven ability to lead teams, schedule staff, and maintain service quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial operations and employees across multiple customer locations.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach and develop janitorial team members.
• Visit assigned customer sites regularly to ensure service and quality standards are met.
• Build relationships with customers and resolve service concerns quickly.
• Manage employee schedules and staffing within established labor budgets.
• Conduct quality‑control inspections and ensure site visits are completed.
• Lead new-hire orientation, safety training and ongoing job training.
• Review employee performance and create development plans as needed.
• Identify opportunities for additional services within accounts.
• Maintain operational documentation including timesheets, training records, and work orders.
