Job summary
LyondellBasell is seeking a seasoned HSES & Training Manager to direct health, safety, environmental, security and training programs across three Texas locations near Chocolate Bayou, Matagorda and Victoria. The role focuses on compliance, program leadership, and staff development, with regular site visits.
The ideal candidate has a B.S. in engineering or related fields and 8+ years in HSES leadership within chemicals, plus supervisory experience.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering, relevant sciences or specific HSES discipline required.
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant HSES and leadership experience in chemicals.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of regulatory processes applicable to a plant operation.
Responsibilities
- Leads the HSES and Training function to improve programs across three sites.
- Establishes KPIs to measure each site's HSES performance.
- Ensures HSES programs comply with standards and regulations.
- Develops cost-effective HSES and Training strategies for each location.
- Reduces injuries and environmental harm through proactive programs.
- Investigates safety concerns, near misses and incidents.
- Interfaces with regulatory agencies for all three sites.
- Builds staff relationships and coordinates contractors as needed.
