Job summary

Astec in Blair, NE seeks a Sr Manager, Human Resources to serve as a trusted advisor to site leadership. This hands-on role leads talent development, performance reviews, training, recruiting strategies, compensation progression, employee relations, and benefits administration at multiple sites in the Midwest.

The role requires 8+ years in HR, a BS degree, strong influence and communication skills, and experience managing a 300+ employee organization in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HR experience.
• BS Degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to influence leaders and partner with site General Manager and other Leaders.
• Experience leading a medium sized (300+) organization in a heavily matrix organization.
• Ability to solve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with leaders to communicate company policies and programs while guiding organizational change.
• Lead talent development, performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
• Implement HR strategies aligned with the business plan and report results to leadership.
• Oversee talent acquisition and interviewing for managerial and professional roles across sites.
• Perform as project lead for corporate and divisional initiatives with cross-divisional teams.
• Ensure HR policies comply with laws and maintain records.
