Job summary

New Dawn Treatment Center is seeking a Food Program Manager to lead multiple facilities in California and Nevada. You will oversee nutritious meal programs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and manage a culinary team across locations.

The role requires SERV Safe Manager Certification, 4+ years in food service, and 2+ years of supervision, with CA driver’s license and CPR/First Aid credentials. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current SERV Safe Manager Certification.
• 4+ years in a food service role.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, and personal auto insurance.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily operations across all CA and NV sites.
• Conduct weekly site visits and walkthroughs.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and CARF standards.
• Provide employee training and development.
• Assist in development and implementation of strategic department plans.
• Analyze food costs and assist with departmental budgets.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring health and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory and purchases of food and supplies.
• Develop client menus, including meals for special dietary needs.
• Plan and assist in preparing special meals for events.
• Supervise sous chef and residential facility chefs.
• Monitor and maintain monthly staff schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
