Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Business Unit Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee up to 5+ maintenance shops and multiple teams of technicians and supervisors responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of a fleet of vehicles up to 91+ trucks and related heavy equipment across multiple facilities.

The role directs on-site operations, ensures safety compliance, manages budgets and staffing, and travels as needed to optimize performance and reliability of the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate maintenance across multiple shops to maximize safety and productivity.
• Oversee scheduling, performance, hiring decisions, and training for maintenance staff.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and control costs across sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Lead quality control inspections and budget submissions.
