KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our centers. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, working with staff to promote best practices and coordinating with vendors for complex repairs.

This role emphasizes independent and collaborative work, with opportunities to impact communities and families through well-maintained centers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing in a multi-unit environment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Qualified to operate a company vehicle per policy and MVR checks.
• Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, drawings, and specs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct regular preventative maintenance at centers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, carpentry).
• Perform minor plumbing work and routine safety inspections.
• Assist with renovations and new construction inspections and capital projects.
• Engage with staff to promote maintenance best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex repairs and monitor performance.
• Update work orders and provide status via CMMS.
