Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. in South Bend, IN is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to deliver timely services across multiple customer sites.

The role requires performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and basic trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC while maintaining strong client relations. You will use tablets and smartphones to document work orders, submit service reports, and manage timesheets.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or Degree/Certification or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing), or Specialty Floor Care preferred.
• Two to Five years mechanical experience including electrical, plumbing, carpentry; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions; write routine reports and correspondence; present information effectively.
• Complete assigned work orders timely and communicate status via designated processes.
• Ability to use handheld devices and business systems including Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs per work orders.
• Self-performs plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical tasks within state law.
• Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed.
• Uses tablet/phone to submit service reports, timesheets, and logs.
• Maintains communications with client and internal teams.
• Obtains materials to complete tasks and provides estimates for larger projects.
