Job summary

DAEOC is seeking a dedicated maintenance professional to service all Agency facilities across six counties in Southeast Missouri. The role includes preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment installations to keep centers safe and functional.

Responsibilities span carpentry, hardware installation, and basic electrical/woodwork tasks, plus vehicle upkeep and relocation of assets. Travel within the six-county area is required, with benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

Requires at least two years of technical school with certificate or four years related experience.
Excellent communication and management skills; understands project management.

Responsibilities

Builds, repairs and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, building framework, and trim.
Installs glass in windows, doors and partitions.
Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile and wall coverings.
Constructs cabinets and wooden equipment as needed.
Installs window shades, blinds and curtain rods, wall fans and door locks.
Installs, removes and relocates playground equipment as required.
Ensures repairs to offices/centers comply with Fire and Safety Codes and Licensing.
Moves and relocates equipment, supplies and furniture as needed.
Maintains assigned vehicles daily (fluids, tires, wipers, etc.).
Maintains tools and equipment in good condition; operates forklift as certified.
