Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Multi-Site Environmental Manager to support environmental compliance across Southern California and up to eight Last Mile Delivery Stations in the region. You will inspect, audit, and guide operations, contractors, and teams to uphold environmental standards and regulatory requirements.

The role involves hands-on field work, collaboration with engineering, construction, and operations, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling confidential information.
• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee local, state, and federal environmental regulations and Amazon policy.
• Develop strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations.
• Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction.
• Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.
• Drive environmental metrics
• Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement.
• Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently.
• Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.
• Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.
• Submit time-critical reports to various governmental agencies.
• Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective actions.
• Up to 50% travel.
