Job summary

Fluidstack seeks an experienced Energy Marshal to own and supervise hazardous energy control across multi-site gigawatt-scale data center builds. You will write switching orders, lead energization kick-off meetings, and maintain tight control of energizations with contractors, utilities, and operations teams.

You will audit field safety programs, manage Kirk keys and tamper seals, and drive standardized energization practices across sites.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as an Energy Marshal on data center or critical construction projects.
• NFPA 70E qualified-person training and a recognized electrical safety credential (CESCP or CESW).
• OSHA 30 Construction and current First Aid/CPR/AED.
• Wrote and approved switching orders, LOTO procedures for MV/LV systems.
• Directed energy marshals across multiple sites to a single standard.

Responsibilities

• Own hazardous energy control across multi-site data center builds from start to handoff to operations.
• Write, review, and approve switching plans, LOTO, energization sequences, and verification.
• Run energization kick-off meetings and authorize, pause, or stop energization across involved teams.
• Audit the electrical safety program in the field (JHAs, permits, PPE, arc flash labeling).
• Manage the Kirk key program from delivery to turnover and maintain the key inventory.
• Maintain tamper seal program and authorize breaking seals as needed.
• Build and implement the Energy Marshal standard for rapid multi-site energizations.
