Job summary

Futaba North America seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to lead the EHS function at its Bloomingdale, IL headquarters. The role focuses on implementing safe workplace practices, regulatory compliance, and risk minimization across sites, including Futaba Japan.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in multi-site manufacturing, with knowledge of OSHA, ISO 14001, and CSP/SMP preferred. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Environmental, Health, and Safety management in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Experience with welding and stamping processes; exposure to Toyota supplier environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA, WHMIS, TDG, and ISO 14001; CSP or SMP preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; safety management software experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated EHS systems aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead policies, procedures, training, and audits for health, safety, and environmental domains.
• Provide leadership and collaborate with EHS teams across sites and with Japan office.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead emergency preparedness and contractor safety programs.
