Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. in the Bay Area seeks an on-site EHS Specialist to own environmental, health, and safety programs across all facilities.

You will drive end-to-end safety plans, ensure multi-site regulatory compliance, and establish proactive practices to keep teams safe and the company compliant. Responsibilities include site-wide safety ownership, HazCom and waste programs, regulatory reporting (CERS, EPA), on-site inspections, incident investigations, and contractor safety training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on EHS experience in office/tech facilities, labs, or manufacturing.
• Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish autonomously.
• Experience with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g., CERS) and EPA-related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-site EHS programs and act as primary EHS lead for all office locations.
• Develop, execute, and maintain core safety plans, emergency action plans, and evacuation maps across facilities.
• Establish and manage HazCom and chemical disposal programs, SDS databases, and chemical inventories.
• Manage regulatory accounts and credentials; handle environmental reporting platforms (e.g., CERS) and EPA numbers.
• Conduct on-site inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions to maintain OSHA/compliance.
• Lead incident investigations and implement long-term preventative measures.
• Partner with vendors for high-risk work and deliver safety onboarding and HazCom training to staff.
