Job summary

Muon Space seeks an EHS Specialist to own environmental, health, and safety operations across Bay Area facilities. You will drive end-to-end EHS programs, ensure multi-site regulatory compliance, and establish proactive safety practices to keep teams safe and compliant.

This is a full-time, on-site role Monday–Friday across Bay Area locations. Responsibilities include developing/site safety plans, managing HazMat and waste programs, and leading incident investigations with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on EHS experience in offices, tech facilities, labs/R&D, or manufacturing.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end autonomously.
• Direct experience with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g., CERS) and compliance credentials.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/state standards, EPA hazardous waste rules (RCRA), and local fire codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Safety Ownership and primary EHS lead for all office locations.
• Develop, execute, and maintain core safety plans, emergency action plans, and evacuation maps.
• Manage Hazardous Materials programs, SDS databases, inventories, labeling, and waste disposal.
• Oversee regulatory accounts and environmental reporting platforms such as CERS.
• Conduct onsite inspections, risk assessments, and implement compliance improvements.
• Lead incident investigations and establish long-term preventative measures.
• Coordinate safety onboarding and HazCom training with vendors and internal teams.
