Job summary

Gritter Francona is seeking a Technical Practitioner to support EHR system implementations across hospitals, medical centers, and clinics. You will lead technical discovery, assess site requirements, and coordinate with client IT leadership, vendors, and engineering teams.

This role requires strong organization, analytical, and project management skills, plus willingness to travel to sites and maintain documentation and timelines throughout discovery, deployment, and go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or related field.
• Experience supporting technology implementations, infrastructure projects, or complex technical deployments.
• Ability and willingness to travel periodically to hospitals, clinics, and other client locations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute technical discovery activities across hospitals, medical centers, and clinics.
• Assess End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO), network infrastructure, and other technical requirements at individual sites.
• Conduct post-discovery analysis to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and technical requirements necessary to support EHR implementation.
• Develop an understanding of client capabilities, devices, interfaces, and infrastructure to support discovery and gap analysis.
• Document findings, requirements, and recommendations in a clear and organized manner.
• Support the development and maintenance of technical scope, site readiness requirements, project plans, and implementation documentation.
• Track device procurement, inventory, delivery, deployment, and logistics activities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local site IT leaders and technical teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain timelines.
• Support technical readiness activities leading up to EHR deployment and transition.
• Participate in cutover planning, readiness assessments, and go-live support as required.
• Coordinate and/or manage engineering activities, ensuring technical dependencies and deliverables remain on schedule.
• Identify technical risks and issues and work with stakeholders on mitigation and resolution.
• Provide status updates to project leadership and client stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and tracking tools.
